Your pieces are fabulous: trendy, quirky, priced right.
Where do you come up with the designs?
When I purchase new materials for the line, I usually
lay every piece out in front of me and just start putting pieces
together to see what works and what doesn’t. Sometimes, I have dreams
about a specific design and I immediately wake up and start putting it
together.
You take mundane everyday objects and turn them into great
focal points on your pieces. Do you come up with the concepts
first, or do you see something and then come up with the idea for a
piece?
Most of the time, I am so inspired when I come across
random or vintage treasures, my mind will start envisioning a million
ideas and then I can’t stop creating new pieces.
I think your layered necklaces and bracelets are my
favorite. Do you have a favorite, or a piece that for one reason
or another is more special than the others?
Most recently I have been wearing my "Love Letter"
necklace. There’s a hidden note that says, “I Love You”, when you open
it. So, it feels like my little secret. I am wearing my "Winged Secret"
necklace for my girl’s night out.
What items seem to be popular amongst Leviticus fans?
The favorites are: "Cut Up", "Love Letter", "Elegant
Balloon", "Cops and Robbers" and "Hello Lover"
What jewelry trends are you into right now?
I love that jewelry makes for a great statement piece. My
favorite trend right now is longer chains and over sized pendants.

Q&A with Tara Levitin of Leviticus Jewelry
What is it about jewelry that seems to
bring
out our inner rock star? Not all of us may be all that
rock-n-roll in the way we dress, we may not even listen to it, but
somehow we can layer chains, bracelets, and rings just fine.
I'm convinced that's why I've come to love
Leviticus
Jewelry and designer Tara Levitin so much. Her pieces seem
to be a cross between rock goddess and 18th century wild west
sheriff, and amazingly, they work well together. Grant it,
those of you only opting to wear the most delicate of pieces, might
find it a little hard to don the
Dramatic Digit necklace but rest assured, there's something for
everyone (try the equally unique, but a little less bold,
Chain Chain Chained).
