You’ve been busy, with
four movies out this summer!
Since I am representing a woman’s perspective, and I know we all
want to know…what’s more fun, the filming itself, or getting dressed up
for the premiere?
The filming itself by a long shot. Being on the set for me is
so much more than just playing the part. The set always has a family
type feel to it. Most of the time you are reunited with people that you
worked with on other projects in the past. But I have to admit, its also
fun to share a premiere with my wife or a family member. I get a kick
out of watching their reactions during the event. Every premiere I’ve
been to has given me a great story to tell which always brings a smile
to my face.
Were all of your guy friends ready to bring you lunch (or
anything else you needed) for the opportunity to get on the set of
Transformers, which co-starred super-star beauty Megan Fox?
Of course my friends (men and women) were calling me trying to get
any info they could on Megan Fox. Since I played her father I always had
a lot of fun with those conversations…usually the interaction with them
would end like this …” Yes Megan is so beautiful ... good genes what can
I say !"
Tell us a little about the upcoming Disney movie, G-Force (which
my nephews and niece are anxiously awaiting by the way!).
It's is a Jerry Bruckheimer film and it doesn’t get any bigger than
that. I play an FBI officer. I don’t kill anybody …I don’t get killed,
it was actually quite refreshing! It's also a film I’m looking forward
to sharing with my son down the road when he gets a little older.
What projects are you currently working on?
I just finished working on
two television shows HBO’s True Blood and TNT’s new series Dark Blue.
I’ve also been staying busy auditioning for my next job.
You had an amazing baseball career at LSU and were actually
drafted by the Rangers prior to that. You’ve also had roles in For the
Love of the Game and Little Big League. Are you still a fan of the
sport? Any favorite players or teams?
I’m a huge fan of college sports. Especially, football and baseball.
I actually just got back from the Colleg
e
World Series in Omaha. It was great watching my alumni school, LSU, win
the National Championship. I was very excited to say the least. I’m also a fan of the Lakers and the Dodgers. L.A. is my
home and you gotta root for the home team! I especially love watching
playoffs and championship games in all sports…nothing is better than
following a game when everything is on the line!
From a fashion-standpoint, what do you love to see your wife in?
I love to see my wife in comfortable clothes. You cant beat a great
summer dress on her. When she is comfortable in clothes her face is
beaming with light. I also love to see her in a cute LSU t-shirt with
jeans. A cool fitted leather jacket is another winner.
You’ve also recently become a father…how has that changed your
perspective, either with life or career?
Wow ! I feel it has completely changed my life and my career. I look
at the world totally different being a parent. I didn’t know you could
love something so much. I feel very blessed to say the least.

Q&A With Actor Michael Papajohn
You
never know when fate is going to greet you with a good morning and
change your life forever. Just ask actor Michael Papajohn.
As a standout baseball player at LSU in the mid-80's Papajohn was
selected as Dennis Quaid's stunt double in the film Everybody's
All-American, which was filming on the Tiger campus. The rest
is, as they say history! No doubt envisioning his future going
elsewhere (he had already been drafted by the Rangers out of high
school), Papajohn was encouraged to pursue a career as a stunt
double. And there it was...goodbye baseball, hello Hollywood!
Since that time, we've seen him in just about everything: from
Charlie's Angels and Spiderman to The Longest Yard, not to mention,
this summer's blockbuster's: Transformers-Revenge of the Fallen,
Land of the Lost, Terminator Salvation, and G-Force which opens July
24th.
Keep reading to get to know more about Papajohn and see what the
Birmingham native has in the works for fans!
